Advice for water outages

If your apartment has no hot and/or cold water, file a 311 complaint for each day it is out of service. Remember you can put in an anonymous complaint for building-wide outages. You can call 311 or file a complaint online. But we recommend giving your contact info so HPD can follow up. You do not have to worry about losing government assistance or the city asking about your legal status when filing a complaint.
